This month we share the story of Yamkelwa Mbelebele as we celebrate her success in our Butterfly of the Month feature.
Yamkelwa started her journey with Progression in July 2017 as she embarked on her Business Administration NQF 4 Learnership. Combined with her workplace experience, this learnership has given Yamkelwa the opportunity to, in her words, “interact with different people and to play a role in building and achieving as a team.”
Yamkelwa is currently being hosted at Progression on behalf of Oracle. She forms an important part of the Projects Department, holding the title of Project Administrator. Her mentor, Zama Mkhize, the Skills Development Facilitator at Progression, reports, “Yamkelwa is a very hard working and dedicated person to her work and studies, an extremely easy person to work with, and a very bubbly person. Our team enjoys working with her. She listens to instructions very well and meets her deadlines. She submits her P.O.E on time and is not ashamed to ask for help or clarity when needed.”
For Yamkelwa, one of the motivations for participating in the learnership was her passion for education. “I’m passionate about growing in education as it opens many doors and gives me the knowledge to share with others,” says Yamkelwa.
Her advice to other learners: “be dedicated and use the opportunity given. Spread your wings and work towards a bright future.”
The Progression team would like to congratulate Yamkelwa on her achievements during her journey with Progression and wish her well in her future endeavours.
