Butterfly of the month - March 2020
It gives us great pleasure to announce Zelda Luphoko as our Butterfly of the Month. Zelda is currently completing a Business Administration NQF4 qualification, whilst obtaining the practical experience component of her learnership at Multotec, a leading Multinational company in the mining sector.
Zelda says that she feels motivated every day that she is on the learnership, as she is gaining more experience and constantly learning new things. Since starting the programme, Zelda has learnt how to work with many different people from various cultures and backgrounds.
Zelda's mentor at Multotec, Mohini Jingoo, explains that she has been employed as a Learner Administrator in the Capital Sales team where she handles all their administrative tasks i.e. scanning, filing, printing and ensuring that the office runs smoothly. Mohini states, "Zelda is a very hardworking, dedicated and smart individual and I am very impressed with the good quality of work she produces." According to Mohini, Zelda asks questions when she doesn't understand and when she makes mistakes, she ensures it is corrected and learnt from and prevented in the future. Mohini goes on to say that it is truly an honour and pleasure working with Zelda.
Zelda expresses that she is extremely grateful to be given the opportunity to earn while studying towards a recognised qualification. The learnership has allowed her to combine theory and practice and also to acquire a better understanding of workplace dynamics, which she feels will help her to gain access to the job market in the future. Zelda states, "Education is very important in order to obtain a good job and gain respect in society. This is what leads to a successful and prosperous life."
Progression congratulates Zelda on her achievements thus far and we wish her all the best for the remainder of her learnership and her future career. Keep up the great work!
