Time is running out for seta qualifications!
Did you know that after 30 June 2024, you will NOT be able to register learners on SETA-accredited learnerships
As the deadline for the long-awaited transition from the SETAs to the new QCTO system draws closer, confusion continues to grow regarding the knock-on effects for the entire Skills Development industry. Stakeholders have expressed concerns around many issues including the limited number of QCTO provider-accredited qualifications available, the lengthy approval processes involved, the impact on employers’ B-BBEE scorecards and the practical implications for the training of learners, to name just a few.

While uncertainty surrounds the future of the sector and nobody is sure exactly how the move to the QCTO will play out, by all accounts the 30 June 2024 cut-off looks set to go ahead.
