Moving forward – Progression announces merger with KhuboNet

1 December 2011 – Progression Options (Pty) Ltd, an equity owned organisation that offers a Total Disability Equity Solution, is pleased to announce that it has reached a merger agreement with KhuboNet Recruitment to form a new division.

As of 1 December 2011, KhuboNet Recruitment will trade as Progression Recruitment, under Progression Options (Pty) Ltd and join the Progression team at its offices in Edenvale.

This is according to Beth Cook, CEO of Progression another step towards the company’s objective of providing a total Human Resource Development and Transformation solution within the South African workplace.

“This merger will effectively give Progression a dedicated recruitment division and strengthen its comprehensive offering to new and established clients in both the public and private sector,” says Cook. “We believe that this is more than just a partnership but the next logical step that will take us forward. In the future, Progression Recruitment will have further reach and more resources.”

She goes on to say that KhuboNet’s professional recruitment and consulting services have been strategically added to Progression’s range of skills development and disability equity solutions. “We are very excited to add a dedicated recruitment department focused on the placement of people with and without disabilities into permanent and temporary placements across the marketplace.”

Since 2002, Progression has worked with some of South Africa’s top businesses to plan, implement and shape disability equity management strategies. Moreover, it has established a track record for helping a diverse range of clients to unlock value and improve bottom line, while promoting equity for an often marginalised sector of the workforce.

Ann Atkinson, previously Managing Director of KhuboNet Recruitment and now heading up Progression Recruitment, brings with her more than 20 years of experience in the training and recruitment industry. From the start, the KhuboNet brand has distinguished itself from other personnel consultancies by offering flexible, quality and needs-driven service to select clients. Furthermore, Progression is a member of the regulatory body APSO and all recruitment consultants have passed the IPSC accreditation exam to ensure the highest calibre of talent and experience.

Despite the name change, Atkinson stresses the focus on providing professional and personalised recruitment services will not change.

“We see this merger as a blend of synergies that can help us grow,” she says. “Both companies share the same set of values, summed up in the Progression mission statement—whereby small, meaningful changes implemented within an organisation can have a positive effect throughout the organisation,” concluded Atkinson.
